Society Says

faceless-mannequins

Society says we should cross our legs tight when wearing a skirt.

That we should not wear our eyeliner too dark or,

Our lipstick too red, or coral.

That we shouldn’t swear, belch, spit or fart.

Society says our waists shouldnt be more than 26,

Our cups smaller than a D,

And we should stand 6” posed,

Like Abercrombie mannequins with our heels.

Society says the more beauty we have then,

The more attention we recieve.

Society doesn’t say, she is kind, funny or

She holds more wisdom then Luther.

Society doesn’t look again at less.

Society only judges less.

  1. WP is quite a refreshing rest stop from that 🙂

  2. It’s all words here, I think. That’s the yardstick!
Your words were beautifully stated and you make a good point!

  3. Love this! Keep up the good work 🙂
